Voting somewhere else
The same guide for the other countries I cover.
What every voter should know
- The day. Election Day is . All 435 seats in the House and 35 in the Senate are on the ballot.
- The rules stop at the state line. Each state sets its own deadline to register, its own days for early voting, its own rules for voting by mail and its own answer on ID. What is true in one state is often wrong in the next.
- Your state's election office has the last word. Every date in this guide links to the page of that office it was read on, with the day I read it. Where a page gives no date, it sends you to the state's own page instead. I never fill a gap.
- I tell you how, never who. Who is running where you live, and how each one scores on liberty, is on the page of November 3 races.
What made voting hard where you live?
Say it where other readers can answer you. Opinions, videos and corrections about the voting guide are all in one place.

How to vote
A date I got wrong, a rule that changed, or what made voting hard for you. What readers post is their words, not mine. My answers carry the Host tag.
Leave out anything private about anyone. The rules, what your account keeps, and what readers have changed so far
